This edition offers an interesting variety of embroidery styles. there is an abundant wreath of spring flowers in crewel embroidery, a threadpainted study of a striking kingfisher, an exquisite panel showcasing goldwork techniques.  Also beautiful three dimensional apple pincushion by Christine Burton, which uses contemporary blackwork and can be matched with her Pear and Fig from earlier Inspirations publications. You could also try your hand at Aemilia Ars, an elegant Italian lacework technique, which makes an excellent edging for linen.
