Another wonderful release from Hands Across the Sea Samplers. Their samplers are so inspiring and beautiful and the detail in them is fascinating.
The charts are in booklet form, A4 size, printed in full colour on silk art paper and illustrated with beautiful art work. These are quality collector’s items and worth having to look at even if you don't get round to stitching them. The historical notes which accompany the samplers add to their interest and collectability. All these samplers are charted for Au Ver a Soie silk with a DMC conversion.
A meandering pink dianthus border surrounds Hannah’s sweet pastoral sampler. A grand red brick house nestles between two large colourful birds perched atop trees. A shepherd and shepherdess with their Lancashire heelers stand watch over a pasture full of sheep, lambs and deer. Two trumpeting angels hover over the house. Urns and vases of flowers abound.
