Inspirations 129

Sitting Pretty
As usual another beautiful issue with something for everyone at the start of the year. As well as the lovely projects there are always interesting articles and stories of what people in the textile world are up to.
Issue 129 starts with an exquisite sampler reticule form Betsy Morgan, then comes the cover project: gorgeous Harnie the Hen who very prettily earns her keep as a charming doorstop. Or she would look great on a shelf watching over the home.
There is a piece by Tania Cohen for goldwork enthusiasts, or in this case copper metallics, some lovely birds in a collaboration between Phillipa Turnbull and Hazel Blomkamp. These are a crewelwork lovers delight. And to extend the counted thread stitchers,  a rare insight into Chiaramonte embroidery, unique to Sicily. This is a form of drawn thread needlework and quite delightful.
So there you have it, your year of stitching sorted if you'd like it to be.
