Frisian Whitework

by Yvette Stanton

From Friesland in the Netherlands, this is a style of counted thread embroiderery dating from the 1600's. It was traditionally used on men's shirt collars and household line and samplers. Historical whitework specialist Yvette presents a range of projects with both right and left handed instructions and wonderfully clear illustrations.
